FAQ

“The Key to great design is capturing the spirit of the client and the essence of the space”

How will you determine the interior style?

Before starting to work on a project, we’ll get to know the client and learn their specific needs. We also ask our clients to share any inspiration images through Pinterest boards, magazine cutouts, art, or even objects collected during one of their travels. Our goal is to create a space that truly reflects their style and personality.

What are the different stages of the process.

Our projects are done in 3 to 5 stages depending on the package option selected by the client. Our approach is very hands-on from the beginning. We have a highly efficient system in place that will facilitate the overall design process starting with getting to know the client, to the creative phase, project management, all the way through to final installation and completion of the project.

What if I need contractors & how will you choose the different suppliers?

Neoscenes offers quality contractors to get the job done right. We have a fantastic, time-tested list of qualified vendors and contractors.

What kind of timeline can I expect?

Every project’s timeline varies depending on the scale and scope of the project. We maximize our time being spent during the design process to keep the process moving as quickly as possible. Our priority is keeping clear and open communication between us, our vendors, clients and all trades involved. At the start of each project, we will always ask what the ideal timeline is for the client and work towards achieving that as much as possible.

How much will my project cost?

That all depends on how much the client would like to invest in their interiors. What are the clients’ expectations? We’ll help as much as possible by proposing an initial budget based on design guidelines and requirements when those are established during the first phase of the project, and this can then be discussed and reviewed. Every step of the way, our clients are involved and aware of the budget and make all the final decisions

Also, projects can be broken into manageable “chunks”—creating seamless design one room at a time,

Will a designer try to get me to buy things I can’t afford?

We work on realistic budgets based on quality products. We have knowledge of furniture construction and can advise on the best product for the appropriate function. Some items may have a higher up-front cost but will have a lower life-cycle cost—which makes them a better solution.

A good designer will help you choose the right pieces for your project, save you time and money by providing sound interior design advice, and help you to allocate your resources wisely.

If my room has furniture already, will you come in and add accessories and art?

Unfortunately, we provide full interior design packages, and our services are best fit for full room designs including all furnishings. If the client has a couple of pieces that they would like us to use, we shall gladly assess those pieces and consider them based on the design concept that has been approved upon.

What is the fee structure?

Our fee structure is based on a flat design fee with a retainer at the start of the project. Every project is different, we will meet with you to discuss the scope of work and present you with a design fee proposal for the project.

How do I meet with the designer for a new project or a renovation project? And what if I would like for a designer to perform a site visit for an existent project?

We can schedule a meeting at our office in Trianon to meet with our clients and discuss their projects so as to be able to have a baseline to work on a proposal and submit a quote for the project.

If the client wants us to perform a site survey prior to receiving a quote, depending on the location of the project, a survey fee will we charged. The survey fee shall be only deductible should the client accept the quotation that shall be submitted after our visit.
